The Pre-Apprenticeship Programme

From Network Engineers and Cyber Security Technologists to Software Testers and Business Analysts, there's a whole host of digital apprenticeship opportunities across the NHS.

To prepare you for a digital career in healthcare by finding out if its right for you and building foundational skills, Apprentices into Health offers a free, online pre-apprenticeship course.

The Apprentices into Health Pre-Apprenticeship Course covers:

  • NHS Vales and what it means to work in health and social care

  • Business Skills

  • Employability Skills

  • Introduction to data skills

  • Introduction to coding and programming

You can work through the online course in your own time, at your own pace, earning certificates as you achieve each section and using mini-quizzes to check your knowledge.

Throughout your pre-apprenticeship journey your Apprentices into Health Learning Adviser will be on hand to support you with any queries or things you are struggling with. You'll also have access to an expert digital tutor who will run regular workshops on different digital topics, helping you find out where your passion lies.

The Apprentices into Health Programme is designed for non-graduates going into entry level apprenticeships. If you are considering an apprenticeship, there are some eligibility requirements to be aware of.
